Expected pay for this position is $26.99 - $31.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily activities of HIMS department staff. Responsible for the education and training of staff in the indexing process of outside documentation into the EMR and chart integrity. In doing so, maintains contact with a variety of medical center staff, ancillary staff, and physicians in order to assist in the timely and accurate completion of medical records. Performs duties of chart analysis as needed for staffing.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School/GED.
Experience: 3 years in a clerical role OR 1 year supervisor/manager experience.
Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: 5 years' experience with physician office operations. Previous supervisor experience.
Other requirements/information: Organizes and prioritizes own work as well as the work of others, often multitasking. Ability to execute decisions and navigate obstacles effectively and efficiently on an independent level. Knowledge of coding and medical terminology as well as HIPAA regulations as applied to medical records and patient care.
