POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor of Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI) provides daily supervision and education of the team and ensures the services provided achieve established process and outcome measures. Remains current in regulatory matters relevant to CDI and coding. Serves as a resource for other CDI team members related to processes and coding. Monitors quality and productivity of others in collaboration with the department leadership.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education:BSN within 6 years of hire date
Licenses/Certifications:RN-Registered Nurse Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified
Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
Experience: 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting2 years of CDI experience
Other skills/knowledge:Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be
detail oriented.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:BSNKnowledge of CDI softwareExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with others from
varying experiencesProven ability to work in a collaborative atmosphere
