Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $35.68/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
This is an Hourly position.
Overview
For Sauk Valley Community College Radiologic Technology program students.
The Sauk Valley Community College (SVCC) Radiologic Technology Education Stipend
provides selected students a education stipend to be used to assist with program costs. Upon graduation, education stipend recipients will be required to work full time as a Radiologic Technologist/Imaging Technologist at OSF Saint Katharine Medical Center.
Education Stipend options:
-$13,000 for 3 year work commitment
-$7,000 for 2 year work commitment
-$3,000 for 1 year work commitment
The Education Stipend will be issued as a one-time payment of either $13,000, or $7,000, or $3,000 and will be considered taxable income.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Is responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. They operate imaging equipment proficiently, have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in all patient populations and may confer with Providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine whether additional images are required.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED, Must be enrolled in Sauk Valley Community College's Radiologic Technology program.
