Pay range for this position is $38.71- $50.34/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Protects, promotes and restores health and wellness by practicing at the highest level of the Registered Nurse licensure; collaborating with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to provide care coordination across the continuum. Assesses and supports physical symptoms, provides psychological support to patients, friends, and families, mentors assigned team members, promotes best practices, and maintains professional disposition at all times. The RN Hospital Inpatient/ED operates in units that provide 24/7 care in the hospital.

The OSF Women’s Health Specialty Clinic is a dynamic and growing outpatient setting currently supporting three specialty services: Plastic Surgery, Urogynecology, and Breast Surgery, with GYN Oncology coming soon.

The clinic operates Monday through Thursday, with potential to alternate Wednesdays and Fridays as needs evolve. Clinic hours are generally 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with variable end times depending on patient volume. Some days are full clinic days, while others are dedicated to surgery days. On low-volume days, staff may be sent home early if work is complete.

Clinic experience preferred and strong leadership skills and experience. 

Float Support – OB Department (As Needed):

If experienced, the RN may float to support the OB department, which functions as a comprehensive LDRP unit with services including:

• Labor & Delivery
• Postpartum
• OB Triage
• OR/PACU for OB and GYN surgeries
• Level II Nursery
• Lactation Support

Preferred Skills: Prior OB hospital or ambulatory experience is strongly encouraged. Cross-training opportunities are available.

Job Requirements:

1. Required Certifications:
• BLS/CPR (prior to start and every 2 years)
• Additional certifications as role evolves
2. Experience:
• Women’s health experience in an ambulatory and/or hospital setting
3. If Cross-Trained to OB:
• NRP
• STABLE
• Fetal Monitoring
• Completion of mandatory OB skills and education requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

License/Certifications: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan) Current American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS is required prior to start date of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: BSN

Experience: Experience as an RN in a healthcare environment, Clinic experience preferred

Other skills/knowledge: Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency
