Expected pay for this position is $33.85 - $43.30/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Special Procedures Tech I assists physicians with arteriograms and or other specialized radiologic procedures under sterile technique in diagnosis and treatment of patients. In doing so, prepares examination area, positions patients for procedures and operates complex radiology equipment in accordance with established techniques and routines. Assists physicians as necessary by passing materials, taking exposures as directed and more. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Associates
Licenses/Certifications:
- IEMA licensure Radiology
- ARRT registered
- BLS - American Heart Associaton
Experience:
- Completion of 2 years training at an approved school of radiologic technology
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous patient care experience
