Expected pay for this position is $42.05 - $49.47/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
PET Technologists cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality diagnostic medical images for interpretation at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Not only does the PET Technologist performs both PET and diagnostic CT examinations. Responsibility includes EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all PET and CT examinations. Complies with ALARA and all regulatory requirements in providing safe and appropriate care.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
– Completion of a formal Nuclear Medicine program with associated certificate or degree.
Licensure/Certifications:
– Licensed by IEMA in nuclear medicine,
-Registered by NMTCB or ARRT(N), and one of the following:
- Licensed by IEMA in diagnostic radiology or,
-Registered by ARRT(CT), or obtain ARRT(CT) certification within 12 months of hire
- Current CPR certification (American Heart Association)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
– 1 year Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
Certification
– PET Registered
Education
– Bachelor of Science
