Expected pay for this position is $31.19 - $36.69/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Editor provides expert technical writing and editorial support across all stages of publishing, including the preparation of articles, publications, and presentations. This role also involves assisting with the development of study protocols, grant submissions, and International Review Board (IRB) proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to required standards.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field, journalism, or writing.
Experience:
1 year publication and editorial expertise
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with adherence to strict deadlines is required.
- Demonstrated ability to edit highly technical material for submission to a wide range of journals.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master’s degree in health-related field, journalism, or writing.
