Expected pay for this position is $18.43 - $21.69/hour.
Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
2nd shift is an additional $1.75/hour
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Instrument Technician will be responsible for detailed knowledge of the inter-departmental needs between the OR, Case Carts, and the Sterile Processing Department. Instrument Techs coordinate/communicate daily instrument needs with the OR mission partners and team leaders. Instrument techs are competent in proper cleaning, sterilizing and inspecting of instrumentation. Instrument Techs are proficient and responsible for all aspects of the Immediate Use Sterilization process, as well and handling Biologic Indicator testing when it's needed.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent prioritization/organization skills
- Basic knowledge reading computer printouts and working from task list
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
License/Certification:
- Certification in sterile processing at the technician level or higher from an accredited organization
Experience:
- 1 year experience in a Sterile Processing Department
