Expected pay for this position is $21.72 - $25.55/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
Candidate must reside within 60 miles of OSF Peoria location. With leadership discretion, must meet performance expectations before working from home. When Mission Partner transitions to work from home, one day per week in office is required on a rotating schedule to process mail.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator Care Management Support (CCMS) acts as the primary resource for Utilization Management & Review (UMR) and case management (CM) by performing supportive services to the departments. Abstracts data and information from multiple sources and enters the information into computerized databases for UMR and CM review. Supports the departments with clerical functions, including but not limited to, faxing clinical information to payers including discharge information, documentation of payer certifications and denials, and requests for clinical review in the electronic medical record. Collaborates with payer(s), providers, UMR, and CM to facilitate discharge appeals, peer to peer conversations, and reconsideration of inpatient hospitalization denials. Ensures all communication is appropriate, accurate, timely, and consistent with the patient’s plan of care.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Diploma/ GED.
Experience: 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute workload. Critical thinking skills necessary to prioritize workload to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner and within established timeframe. Interpersonal skills necessary to facilitate interpersonal communication with team members, department staff, and external personnel, and perform other activities requiring courtesy and tact.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate’s degree Experience: 2 years of electronic medical record (EMR) experience, healthcare experience, and computer experience.
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Working knowledge of electronic health records. Accurate typing speed of at least 35 words per minute.
