Expected pay for this position is $36.39 - $42.81/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: Oversees and directs patient care activities and personnel in order to ensure that high quality patient care is delivered. Ensures the appropriateness of care delivered is based on the age of the patients served. Determines work priorities, prepares daily work assignments, and monitors care delivered for Cardiac Rehab Phase I & II. Fosters and maintains positive working relationships among physicians and Medical Center personnel to ensure growth of services and programs offered.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate from an accredited university with a BA or BS in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Kinesiology or Sports Medicine or from an accredited Nursing program with a BA or BS in Nursing.
- Work requires two to three years of progressively more responsible experience with six months concurrent experience in appropriate clinical area in order to develop proficiencies in cardiac function, cardiac rehabilitation, exercise physiology, exercise prescription, cardiovascular conditioning, cardiovascular pathophysiology, cardiac risk factors and modifications and secondary prevention strategies for CAD.
- Substantial knowledge of cardiac risk factors and treatment and current principles, theories and practices related to cardiac rehabilitation and secondary prevention of CAD is beneficial.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science preferred, or Nursing preferred. Licensure/Certifications
- ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist certification or AACVPR Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional certification preferred or Illinois Nursing License
- Previous Cardiac Rehab program experience (1 years) preferred.
