Expected pay for this position is $26.99 - $31.75/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is a Salaried position.
Overview
POSITION SUMMARY: The Annual Events Coordinator will work with both internal and external partners to strategically develop, plan and execute fundraising events for the OSF HealthCare Foundation. This position requires outstanding project management and communication skills. The Coordinator will be expected to efficiently run committees, confidently communicate to small groups, and engagingly address large groups of participants. Technology is an important component of this position, including proficient use of the event management software system, innovative web development and streamlined online registration and payment processes. Will work with OSF staff, clinicians, grateful patients and families throughout the OSF HealthCare. The Coordinator will also help identify and cultivate relationships with current and potential donors. Occasional support required during evenings or weekends.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year of experience in project management, non-profit fundraising, communications, event planning, or a directly related field OR Associate’s Degree and 3 years of experience in project management, non-profit fundraising, communications, event planning, or a directly related field
Other skills/knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills, including writing and public speaking
- Advanced analytical abilities necessary in order to prepare basic fundraising plans and evaluate results, respond to problems by identifying and implementing appropriate corrective action, develop and administer policies, procedures and budgets, and organize and oversee work of others
- Proven interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate effectively with individual donors and corporate organizations when soliciting financial support, with media contacts, OSF personnel, and committees when coordinating fund raising activities, and work cooperatively with a variety of leaders, executives, and staff
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and basic social media platforms
- License/Certification: Blackbaud certification (bCRE) required within 6 months of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Raiser’s Edge experience or certification
- Experience in website development including WordPress
