Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.
SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:
- 3rd Shift: $2.25/hour
- Weekend: $1.75/hour
Overview
UNIT OVERVIEW:
Welcome to the MotherHouse! The MotherHouse Infirmary is located on a secluded 40-acre farmstead overlooking the Illinois River Valley. This location offers a supportive and nurturing environment for those Sisters who had completed their lifetime of devoted service to the Third Order of Saint Francis. This CNA position will assist with providing direct daily care for our retired Sisters of the Order. Currently there are 7 Sisters who reside at the Motherhouse campus. Our care team is able to spend lots of time with the Sisters and serve them with the greatest care and love.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant (PCT/CNA) provides appropriate safe basic care to patients which includes taking vital signs, assisting patients with activities of daily living, specimen collection, and observation of patients for physical/emotional changes. Other duties include recording pertinent information in patient charts, communicating with other Patient Care Team members to ensure continuity of care, and may function in a role providing constant supervision to patients as needed. Duties may vary according to department expectations and needs.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CNA-Certified Nurses Assistant
- CPR American Heart Association HealthCare Provider BLS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED Experience
- Six months experience in a clinical healthcare environment
- Six months experience in supporting physical, emotional and psycho-social needs of patients
