Expected pay for this position is between $33.85-39.83/hour. This is an Hourly position. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills, and internal equity.
Shift Differentials:
- 2nd shift - $3.00/hour
- 3rd shift - $4.00/hour
- Weekend - $2.50/hour
- On Call - $3.00/hour while on call (time-and-a-half of base rate if called in)
Overview
This is a PRN position
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) is a trained individual who is able to participate in and actively assist the surgeon in completing the surgical procedure safely, by providing exposure, maintaining hemostasis and serving other technical functions.
The Surgical Assistant acts according to the direction provided by the Surgeon. While in the role of CSFA, the CSFA does not function concurrently as the primary scrub technician.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education:
- High School/GED
- Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology or 2 years surgical scrubbing experience
- Licenses/Certifications:
- American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
- Certification from an accredited First Assistant Program
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certification in Surgical Technology
