Expected pay for this position is $18.98 - $22.34/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. This is an Hourly position.

This position is to hire for a Pharmacy Technician to work PRN (which means the hours vary and no hours are guaranteed) to help with coverage of the pharmacy when the pharmacy technician is out sick, taking vacation days or when there is a need for coverage in the pharmacy. Most weeks this technican work work on average 8 hours, however, there could be weeks where this technician will work 16-24 hours/week.
When scheduled to work hours will be 8:30am-5:00pm; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Certified Pharmacy Technician I is responsible for assisting Pharmacists in processing provider medication orders utilizing prescribed procedures under the supervision of a Pharmacist. Work involves standing, lifting and walking continually while in the process of performing duties.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED, At least 18 years of age
Licensure/ Certification: PHTC-Pharmacy Tech, PHCT2 - Pharmacy Tech Certification, Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification, or Active Pharmacy student with Pharmacy Technician (PHTC) student license
Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 1 year pharmacy experience
Other Skills/Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical terminology. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development as well as the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications. Demonstrates ability to perform and apply arithmetic calculations. Intermediate computer skills.
