Advanced Practice Provider, NCCU

• The Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) is a 64-bed, private-room unit with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, and a Small Baby Unit
• Team consists of our full-time neonatologists, nurse practitioners, residents, APP and physician fellows, nurses, respiratory therapists, and consultants from multiple specialties deliver the most advanced care to premature and high-risk infants. Rounding approach is family centered. Isolation facilities available.
• Management of premature and high-risk infants including bedside invasive and non-invasive monitoring, conventional and high-frequency ventilation, and surgery in multiple specialties, including cardiac and neurology
• Opportunity to perform procedures such as intubation, thoracentesis, PICC, arterial and umbilical lines as well as newborn resuscitation for all high-risk deliveries.
• Additional opportunities to assist with transport of critical infants and to rotate to Level II nurseries in the OSF HealthCare System
• Shared governance opportunities available within the scope of Safety, Quality Improvement, Education, and Focused Unit Based and Hospital Wide Committees
• Robust Pediatric subspecialty support including for general cardio and neurosurgery teams

• Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP), a post-master's certificate, or a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS)
• Nurse Practitioners must hold a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification from the National Certification Corporation
• Current and valid Physician Assistant License or Advanced Practice Nurse License in the State of Illinois or eligibility for licensing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Prior experience as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant in an NCCU is required. We offer an NCCU Fellowship for new graduates and for experienced Physician Assistants with no prior NICU experience.

• Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $64.61 - $78.83.
• Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations.
