Master Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Specialist (European & Advanced Diagnostics)

Ose Automotive Performance LLC
Melbourne, FL Full Time
POSTED ON 4/13/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/5/2026

Job Description

We are a well-established independent automotive repair shop known for accurate diagnostics and high-quality repairs. We specialize in European vehicles including Volkswagen, Audi, and BMW, while servicing all makes and models.

Our shop has built a strong reputation locally for solving difficult problems that other repair facilities and dealerships have been unable to diagnose or repair properly. Because of this, a large portion of our work involves advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and complex repairs.

We are looking for a highly experienced A-Level or Master Technician who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly the first time.

This position is not an entry-level position and will not be a good fit for technicians whose experience has been limited primarily to quick-lube, tire, or basic maintenance facilities.

Type of Work

Our technicians regularly work on vehicles that have:

  • Been misdiagnosed by other shops or dealerships
  • Complex drivability issues
  • Electrical system faults
  • Intermittent problems that require detailed testing
  • Major mechanical failures requiring experienced repair

Because of this, technicians in this role must be comfortable diagnosing problems independently and performing their own repairs from start to finish.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for technicians who:

  • Have strong diagnostic ability
  • Enjoy solving difficult automotive problems
  • Have experience diagnosing electrical and drivability issues
  • Can perform major mechanical repairs
  • Take pride in accurate work and professional craftsmanship
  • Can work independently without constant supervision

Required Experience

Applicants should have experience with many of the following:

  • Advanced drivability diagnostics
  • Electrical system troubleshooting
  • Scan tool data interpretation
  • Engine repair (timing components, cylinder heads, internal repairs)
  • Cooling system repair
  • Brake and suspension diagnostics
  • Intermittent electrical faults
  • Correcting misdiagnosed or improperly repaired vehicles

Minimum Requirements

  • 5 years professional automotive technician experience
  • Ability to diagnose and repair vehicles independently
  • Own professional tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work flat rate

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE certifications or equivalent experience
  • Dealership experience
  • Experience working on European vehicles (VW, Audi, BMW)
  • Automotive technical school education

Work Environment

Technicians in our shop are trusted to diagnose their own vehicles and perform repairs independently. We value accurate diagnostics and quality workmanship over rushing jobs out the door.

Unlike many dealerships, our technicians are not pressured by unrealistic warranty times or dealership politics. Our focus is simply fixing vehicles correctly and maintaining a strong reputation for quality work.

Our shop frequently receives vehicles that other repair facilities were unable to repair properly, which creates a work environment that is both challenging and rewarding for technicians who enjoy solving complex problems.

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on experience, diagnostic ability, and demonstrated skill level.

Because accurate diagnostics and quality workmanship are extremely important in our shop, all new technicians will begin with an evaluation period of 90 days. During this time we will work together so we can observe your diagnostic process, repair quality, and overall workflow.

At the conclusion of the evaluation period, we will meet to discuss long-term compensation and flat-rate structure based on your demonstrated abilities.

Our goal is simple: skilled technicians should be paid what they are truly worth.

Schedule & Start Timeline

This position is currently open, we are excited to welcome a new technician to our team!

Your expected hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
