Reports to: General Manager, OSCO Controls

Accountability: Develop and grow customer relationships by delivering exceptional service, providing innovative technical solutions, and promoting OSCO Controls' products and capabilities to drive profitable growth.

OSCO Controls is seeking a Regional Technical Sales Engineer who is customer-focused, technically proficient, and driven to build long-term customer relationships. This individual will identify new opportunities, develop technical solutions with customers, and manage projects from initial inquiry through successful delivery.

Responsibilities

The Regional Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships while serving as the primary point of contact from initial opportunity through successful project completion.

Sales & Business Development

· Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, distributors, OEMs, integrators, and end users within an assigned territory.

· Identify and develop new business opportunities that drive profitable growth through prospecting, networking, customer visits, industry research, referrals, and trade shows.

· Promote OSCO Controls' capabilities and solutions while identifying opportunities to expand existing customer relationships.

· Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations that effectively communicate the value of OSCO Controls' solutions.

· Follow up on quotations, negotiate scope changes when appropriate, and work to convert opportunities into orders.

· Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new products, services, and business opportunities.

· Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts, opportunity updates, and customer activity reports.

· Conduct customer site visits to evaluate applications, identify opportunities, and develop engineered solutions.

Customer & Project Management

· Serve as the primary owner of customer opportunities from initial inquiry through project completion, ensuring exceptional communication and customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

· Coordinate customer requirements with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, and inside sales to ensure projects are executed successfully.

· Communicate project status, schedule changes, technical issues, and customer expectations with both internal and external stakeholders.

· Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of organization and responsiveness.

· Support issue resolution by coordinating timely responses to technical, commercial, and delivery-related questions.

Technical Support

· Collaborate with engineering to develop innovative automation and control solutions that satisfy customer requirements while supporting manufacturability, schedule, and profitability.

· Review customer specifications, engineering drawings, and technical documentation to ensure accurate quotations and project execution.

· Assist customers in selecting appropriate products, control systems, and automation solutions.

· Provide technical guidance during the quotation, design, manufacturing, startup, and post-installation phases as needed.

· Develop accurate project scope, cost estimates, and technical proposals in collaboration with engineering and estimating resources.

Professional Representation

· Represent OSCO Controls professionally, honestly, and ethically in all customer interactions.

· Travel throughout the assigned region to visit customers, attend meetings, participate in trade shows, and develop new business opportunities.

Requirements

Education & Experience

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline required.

· Minimum of three years of technical sales, applications engineering, project management, or related industrial experience.

· Experience with industrial automation, control systems, or electrical equipment is highly preferred.

Technical Knowledge

· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.

· Working knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, drives, instrumentation, or related automation technologies preferred.

· Experience with Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and engineering/CAD software is preferred.

· Demonstrated ability to understand complex customer applications and develop practical technical solutions.

Travel

· Ability to travel approximately 10–20%, including overnight travel, by automobile and commercial airline.

This position plays a critical role in expanding OSCO Controls' market presence by combining engineering expertise, consultative selling, and effective project management to deliver innovative automation solutions and exceptional customer experiences.

Pay: $80,626.63 - $97,098.73 per year
