What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist position at Osceola Community Health Services?
Osceola Community Health Services (OCHS) is currently seeking to fill a vacant position at our federally qualified health centers. OCHS operates several Community Health Centers throughout Osceola County that are accredited by The Joint Commission for Ambulatory Care and Primary Care Medical Home.

This is a highly- skilled, certified and specialized position within the Billing Department.
Enter dental and medical services rendered into accounting system. Provide customer service to internal and external clients/ patients regarding billing issues. Prepare and send out invoices/ claims to insurance carriers.
Verify discrepancies by servicing sites and resolve their billing issues. Use office equipment such as telephone, computer, scanner, fax machine, adding machine and copy machine.
If bi-lingual may be required to provide interpreter services to clients regarding billing questions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and maintain an active state certification for billing and coding.
2 years of experience as a billing specialist.
Proficiency in accounting principles, billing and collection processes.
Proven ability to manage accounting figures, calculate and post financial records. Excellent data entry skills.
