What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior ServiceNow Developer position at Oscar Technology?
We're working with a leading organization in Chicago that's looking to add a hands-on ServiceNow Developer to its growing platform team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building across the full ServiceNow platform while also getting involved with platform administration, upgrades, and ongoing improvements. You'll work alongside experienced developers and administrators on a fast-moving, highly collaborative team.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing custom ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements
- Building workflows and automations using Flow Designer
- Creating integrations using REST APIs and server-side scripting
- Developing with GlideRecord, Business Rules, Script Includes, and Scripted REST APIs
- Working with Employee Center, Workspaces, UI Builder, and Mobile
- Supporting platform upgrades, instance health, and security
- Helping improve and extend the platform as business needs evolve
What we're looking for:
- 3 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting skills
- Experience building custom applications, integrations, and automations
- Knowledge of Employee Center, Workspaces, or UI Builder
- Comfortable with both development and platform administration
- Good understanding of ITIL principles
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
- CMDB experience, including custom imports and external data sources
- Experience with CSM, HAM, S2P, Workplace Service Delivery, or Platform Analytics
- Exposure to ServiceNow AI capabilities such as Now Assist, Build Agent, MCP Servers, or other AI technologies

Hybrid - Chicago, IL (3 days onsite each week)
