Ever wonder who decides whether a new technology is actually ready for the real world? Someone has to test it in the field, collect the data and deliver a clear answer. That's us.

Oscar Six designs and runs live experiments for the DoD and other mission partners — across unmanned systems, sensors and tactical networks — and builds the software that makes sense of the results. We're looking for a recent grad who wants to write code that gets used at live test events, not code that sits in a backlog.

What you'll work on

- Real-time data pipelines that capture telemetry, sensor and network data during live experiments

- Dashboards, operator consoles and map-based views our test teams rely on in the field

- Analytics and decision tools that show how candidate technologies actually performed

- Our in-house platforms, including ARES (experimentation suite), Flightline (unmanned systems preflight application), Trident (personnel management), among others.

- Field events: you'll travel with the team (~15–20%) to deploy, troubleshoot and improve your code on site

What we're looking for

- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or a related field

- Strong Python and SQL, with exposure to testing and data tooling; comfortable on Linux and with Git

- Exposure to a web framework like React, Angular or Vue

- Coursework, internships, capstone and personal projects all count — show us something you built

- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance. No existing clearance needed; we sponsor it.

Nice to have

- Test & evaluation, operations research, or statistics/analytics background

- MAVLink, ROS 2, WebSockets, MQTT or Protobufs; time-series databases

- Mapping/GIS, GPS or telemetry data

- Unmanned systems, robotics, embedded — clubs, hackathons and competition teams count
