Position: Learning & Content Specialist / Manager

Reports to: HR Director

100% Onsite - Grand Prairie, TX

12 month contract - potential for FTE conversion

Fully Bilingual Required (English/spanish)

Target Pay: $30-$46 per hour (Commensurate with experience and technical portfolio)


Role Overview

We are seeking a Learning & Content Specialist to shape how our team learns, grows, and stays connected across our field and office teams. 


This role will create our first learning systems, content strategy, and training experience ensuring teammates have access to clear, engaging, and up-to-date learning that drives performance, consistency, and culture.


Sitting at the intersection of systems, content, and people, you will bring structure to training, clarity to communication, and energy to how teams engage with learning. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, simplifying complex information, and creating learning experiences that teams actively use and value.


Education 

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field preferred. 
  • CPTD or technical certifications in video production/eLearning is a plus.


Experience 

  • Bilingual (Spanish): Must be fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal.) Ability to translate complex technical and safety concepts accurately between both languages.
  • Minimum 2-8 years of experience in L&D or technical training, ideally within construction, engineering, or heavy industrial environments.
  • LMS Launch Direct, hands-on experience selecting, configuring, and launching a company’s first Learning Management System (LMS) is a plus.
  • Multimedia Production: Proficiency in video production (filming and editing) is a plus.

  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, actionable learning
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to use data to improve learning methodology


Duties and Responsibilities 

LMS Strategy & Implementation (15%)

  • Design the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring it is intuitive, organized, and scalable
  • Manage system structure, user access, and troubleshooting to drive adoption and ease of use
  • Continuously improve how learning is delivered, accessed, and experienced across the platform


Content Strategy & Knowledge Management (15%)

  • Develop and maintain a centralized content strategy across all departments
  • Create, organize, and update training materials, SOPs, and operational playbooks
  • Ensure consistency in how content is structured, written, and presented across the organization
  • Establish and manage a regular cadence to review, update, and streamline learning materials

  • Content Creation & Training Programs (40%)

    • Design engaging eLearning, training content, and videos (in regards to equipment, processes and procedures.)
    • Build just-in-time training to support key operational moments (transfers, promotions, nho, etc)
    • Support onboarding programs for both field teammates and office teams
    • Develop ongoing learning experiences that reinforce performance and growth
    • Own key programs that connect field and office teams through shared learning


    Facilitation & Educational Delivery (10%)

    • Host and lead interactive training sessions and workshops to educate teams on technical equipment and operational standards.
    • Serve as a subject expert during sessions, translating complex procedures into easy-to-understand, actionable steps for diverse audiences.
    • Facilitate hands-on demonstrations and group discussions to ensure high retention.
    • Provide real-time coaching and mentorship during training to empower teammates and build confidence in their roles.
    • Gather live feedback from participants to continuously iterate and improve the effectiveness of training materials.


    Cross-Functional Partnership & Execution (10%)

    • Partner with HR, Operations, Engineering, and Safety teams to support training and content needs
    • Act as the central content partner for new initiatives, program rollouts, and operational updates
    • Manage and maintain a cross-functional content calendar across training, compliance, and key initiatives


    Engagement, Data & Continuous Improvement (10%)

    • Drive adoption of learning programs through engaging experiences and communication.
    • Track usage, completion rates, and performance metrics across learning programs.
    • Analyze data and feedback to continuously improve training effectiveness and relevance
    • Make recommendations that improve learning outcomes, teammate performance, and operational excellence.


    Success Metrics.

    • LMS Launch: Successful company-wide system rollout.
    • Library: Completion of a core equipment video library with content available in both languages.
    • Compliance Rate: Achieve 95% or higher completion on mandatory corporate modules.
    • Field Utility: Positive feedback from the team regarding the clarity and accessibility training modules.
