Are you detail-oriented, organized, and skilled with accounting software? D.F. Osborne Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to support our financial operations remotely. This role will assist our Financial Controller with managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting tasks across multiple divisions.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and enjoys being a dependable part of a small, efficient accounting team.

Osborne Construction is a Topeka, KS-based general contractor operating in more than 40 states. We serve clients in three primary sectors: design-build commercial/industrial construction, facilities maintenance, and EV charging infrastructure installation.

YOU MAY BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

  • Have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a knack for numbers.

  • Are skilled in QuickBooks Online (required) and familiar with Sage Intacct (huge plus!).

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As the Accounting Clerk, you'll provide essential support to our financial operations, working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial processes.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Code and enter invoices into QuickBooks Online; ensure all approvals and documentation are complete.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including vendor maintenance and payments.

  • Assist with reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger entries.

  • Help prepare and process vendor checks, electronic payments, and expense reimbursements.

  • Assist with tracking lien waivers and maintaining vendor compliance documentation.

  • Support preparation of month-end reports and year-end documentation as needed.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records within digital systems.

  • Provide administrative and accounting support to the Financial Controller and project teams.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business - or 2 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required).

  • Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP systems strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable and receivable processes

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

  • $24.00-$30.00/hour depending on experience

  • Flexible 30-40-hour workweek
