Position Summary
Osborn R-O School District is seeking reliable, flexible, and student-centered substitute teachers to support our classrooms when regular teachers are absent. Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, following lesson plans, supervising students, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the classroom teacher
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment
- Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and other school settings
- Take attendance and complete required documentation
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration
- Adapt to different grade levels and subject areas as needed
- Uphold district policies, procedures, and professional expectations
Qualifications
- Substitute teaching certificate or ability to obtain appropriate Missouri substitute certification
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred
