Position Summary
The Bin Washer is responsible for cleaning, and preparing all production bins, totes, drums, and related containers used in the manufacturing of liquid polishes. This role ensures that all containers meet cleanliness standards to prevent product contamination and to comply with safety and quality requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean, wash, and sanitize a variety of production bins, totes, drums, and mixing containers used in liquid polish manufacturing.
- Operate bin washing equipment, pressure washers, and sanitation tools according to established procedures.
- Remove product residue, buildup, and contamination from containers following safety and chemical-handling guidelines.
- Inspect bins for damage, cleanliness, and readiness before returning them to production.
- Maintain accurate cleaning logs, sanitation records, or batch-related documentation.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all SDS and PPE requirements.
- Keep the bin wash area organized, clean, and compliant with facility housekeeping expectations (5S).
- Follow all company safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO) when required.
- Report any equipment issues, damaged containers, or safety concerns.
- Assist other sanitation or production areas as needed.
Qualifications:Requirements to the job holder
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior manufacturing or sanitation experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and operate sanitation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move containers for extended periods.
