Description
The Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and managing designated activities within the Prevention Department, working closely with the Director and Project Coordinator. Responsibilities include overseeing grant and programmatic reporting and evaluation, tracking data and deadlines, and ensuring all departmental strategies are evidence-based, culturally responsive, and aligned with measurable outcomes. This role involves coordinating grant-related and departmental activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment across prevention initiatives, monitoring progress, and facilitating evaluation efforts. The Project Manager will also supervise assigned projects and personnel to ensure deliverables are met, work with the Office of Grants Management and Compliance to fulfill regulatory and reporting requirements, and coordinate travel in accordance with funding agreements. The position requires knowledge of public health prevention and recovery models, including tertiary prevention, substance abuse, and mental and behavioral health, and involves a variety of tasks that demand creativity, flexibility, and sound judgment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Substance Abuse, Social Work, Psychology or Behavioral Health or related field
- 2 or more years of experience in Community/Behavioral Health required
- 2 or more years of project management experience
- 1 or more years of grant oversight experience
General Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Substance Abuse, Social Work, Psychology or Behavioral Health or related field preferred
- Requires a high level of understanding of contract law
- Requires a high level of multi-tasking skills
- Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
- Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
- Requires familiarity with the concepts of project management
- Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills, including travel to conferences and training sessions
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times
- Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Proficiency in contract management software
- Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Must have strong negotiation skills
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and purchasing knowledge
- Must have a clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or tribal vehicles
