Overview

JOB PURPOSE:

The Room Restoration Attendant is responsible for performing detailed cleaning and restoration of guest rooms, Hotel public areas, and hotel facilities to maintain exceptional cleanliness and presentation standards. This position specializes in scheduled deep-cleaning projects, room restoration, preventative maintenance cleaning, and detailed cleaning tasks that enhance the overall guest experience and extend the life of hotel assets.

MINIMUM QUALIFICAQTIONS:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One (1) year of housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, hotel, or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
  • Experience with deep cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, or restoration work preferred.
  • Casino or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain an Osage Nation gaming license.
  • Required to maintain a valid Driver’s License.
  • Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
  • Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.

Responsibilities

SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • None

GUEST SERVICE:

  • Provides excellent internal and external guest services, always treating all guests with courtesy and consideration.
  • Cooperates and communicates with all employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image and attitude.
  • Monitors production and service levels by interacting with guests and staff.

DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS:

  • Perform scheduled deep cleaning of guest rooms, suites, hallways, and designated hotel areas.
  • Clean and sanitize walls, baseboards, vents, light fixtures, ceiling corners, windows, window tracks, and hard-to-reach surfaces.
  • Move and clean behind furniture, beds, appliances, and fixtures as needed.
  • Shampoo carpets, spot clean upholstery, and assist with floor care projects.
  • Deep clean mattresses, bed frames, headboards, furniture, and guest room fixtures.
  • Remove stains, scuff marks, buildup, and other cosmetic issues from guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Clean and detail guest bathrooms, including grout, tile, fixtures, shower doors, and exhaust vents.
  • Assist with room restoration projects following extended occupancy, maintenance repairs, smoking violations, or significant room condition issues.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged property.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and proper chemical handling requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel cleanliness standards and regulatory sanitation requirements.
  • Assist housekeeping staff during periods of high occupancy or operational need.
  • Support special cleaning projects and seasonal cleaning initiatives as assigned.

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

  • Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.

COMMUNICATION:

  • Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing e-mail, digital boards, SharePoint, property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.
  • Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.
  • Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals, carpet extractors, floor equipment, and related tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to identify cleanliness deficiencies and take corrective action.
  • Ability to prioritize projects and complete assignments within established timelines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Read Company or departmental reports, newsletters, and documents.
  • Protect the Company’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Perform assigned tasks under limited supervision. Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with managerial staff, co-workers, guests, and the public. Work well alone or within a team.
  • Communicate information and suggestions in oral and written form. Prepare written documents and complete reports as required.
  • Exercise reasonable judgment and seek guidance for decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job duties and responsibilities.
  • Travel locally, or between properties as needed.
  • Maintain physical condition and stamina appropriate to performance of assigned duties.
  • Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents Osage Casinos.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and Osage Casinos policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • The employee is also regularly required to stand for extensive periods of time, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to sit, stoop, kneel, crawl, balance, or crouch while performing duties.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to use arms to reach and lift above shoulders.
  • Must have normal auditory and good verbal communication.
  • Ability to lift, drag, push, or pull up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Push, pull, and maneuver housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment.
  • Move furniture and mattresses as necessary to perform deep cleaning tasks.
  • Work with approved cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is typically performed within a casino setting.
  • Exposure to second-hand smoke.
  • Evening and weekend shifts, extended hours, and irregular shifts may be required. Ability to work night and weekends required.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
  • The employee may be exposed to blood/bodily fluids.
  • The employee may be exposed to chemicals and hazardous material.
  • The employee may be exposed to risks associated with the use of tools/machinery.
  • The employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between properties and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands.
