Aquarium Service Technician Assistant

The Aquarium Service Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining healthy aquatic environments by supporting routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and system installations. This position involves frequent driving and requires both independent work and collaboration within small teams. Working closely with our most seasoned technician, the assistant ensures optimal tank conditions through precise cleaning, water testing, and equipment upkeep at clients homes and businesses. Must have a polite and friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain aquarium tanks to ensure optimal conditions
• Perform regular water quality testing and report results
• Maintain and repair aquarium equipment as needed
• Feed fish and care for marine life following established guidelines
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and observations
• Assist customers with service inquiries and support
• Comply with all safety regulations and protocols during service calls
• Travel frequently to various client locations, driving as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in aquarium maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of water quality testing and fish care
• Skills in equipment repair and maintenance
• Understanding of safety protocols in aquatic environments
• Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within small teams
