About the Role
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant at Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in our interdisciplinary team, working closely with occupational therapists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to design and implement personalized rehabilitation programs. Your duties will include:
- Implementing occupational therapy interventions, such as activities of daily living (ADL) training and cognitive rehabilitation
- Providing patient education and training on adaptive techniques and strategies
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care
Responsibilities
Conduct occupational therapy sessions and activities under the supervision of an occupational therapist
Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients
Requirements
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification
Minimum 0 years of experience in occupational therapy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
