About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate therapist to join our team at Ortonville Area Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a licensed clinical social worker or professional clinical counselor to provide individual and group therapy services in a clinical setting.
About the Position:
This full-time position involves working with clients who are struggling with various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, loneliness, life transition, medication/pain management, behavioral disorders, and end-of-life planning. As a member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Assess patients' needs, complete diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, initiate interventions, and provide clinical impressions.
- Advocacy and Collaboration: Advocate, mediate, and negotiate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
- Counseling and Support: Provide counseling services that aid in adjustment to chronic illness, treatment barriers, lifestyle changes, futility, and end-of-life issues, maximizing psychosocial functioning.
- Professional Consultation: Offer expert information, education, and consultation to other disciplines regarding patient and family care.
Requirements:
- Licensure: Hold an active license/credentialed in good standing as an LICSW in another jurisdiction or have a current and active LPCC license issued by BBHT, with eligibility to obtain licensure in MN and SD.
- Education: Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Good Standing: Be in good standing with the Board of Social Work or Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
Work Schedule: Full-time, 32-40 hours per week
