Job duties involve sitting, walking, standing, stooping, crouching and climbing. May be exposed to high noise levels. May be required to deal with distraught students. Work is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.

For on-call positions, eligibility for benefits is determined by a number of factors, including the number of hours an employee worked during the last two (2) school years (September 1 through August 31). Benefit eligible employees also qualify to optionally participate in deferred compensation/403B plans, dependent care flexible spending/health savings accounts, and additional life insurance and/or added long-term disability coverage through employee contributions. Sick leave, vacation, personal leave, and any paid holidays are aligned with bargaining agreements by association, as listed on our website.

- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Provide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site.
- Administer basic First Aid and assistance to students.
- Help settle disputes between students through problem-solving methods.
- Report and document serious concerns/incidents to the school administration.
- Be aware of potentially hazardous conditions in the assigned work area.
- Promote opportunities for cooperative interaction/play between students as appropriate to the assigned work area.
- Help monitor special circumstances/needs for individual children.
- Work cooperatively with other staff members in the school.
- Keep track of playground equipment on a daily basis.
- Be a positive role model for children.
- Work with students in behavioral remediation settings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
