Position SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Orthotics Fitter who will also manage patient intake and front-office coordination. This hybrid role combines hands-on patient care with administrative support, ensuring every patient receives a professional, efficient, and positive experience.Key Responsibilities? Orthotics Fitting & Patient CareEvaluate patients for appropriate orthotic devices (bracing, supports, post-operative devices, etc.)Take accurate measurements and perform proper fitting and adjustmentsEducate patients on device use, wear schedule, care, and safetyDocument all fittings, patient interactions, and clinical notes accuratelyFollow clinical protocols and collaborate with practitioners, therapists, and physiciansMaintain inventory, organize stock, and prepare devices for fittingsMonitor patient follow-up needs and outcomes? Intake Coordination & Front Office SupportGreet patients and provide excellent customer service (phone, email, in-person)Gather patient demographics, insurance information, referrals, and authorizationsVerify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations when requiredSchedule appointments and coordinate patient flowUpload/scan documentation and maintain accurate electronic recordsCommunicate with doctors’ offices, case managers, and patients regarding care plansAssist with billing documentation and clinical paperworkEnsure HIPAA and compliance standards are maintained at all timesQualificationsPrevious experience as an Orthotics Fitter, Medical Assistant, or similar role (preferred)ABC/BOC Orthotic Fitter Certification (or willingness to obtain) preferredKnowledge of orthotic devices and patient care practicesExperience with medical scheduling and/or intakeStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and customer-service mindsetAbility to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environmentComfortable working with EMR systems and basic computer skillsPersonal AttributesCompassionate and patient-focusedProfessional demeanor and positive attitudeProblem-solver with initiativeReliable, punctual, and team-orientedPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, bend, and lift devices as needed (up to ~25–30 lbs)Manual dexterity to adjust/fabricate minor device modifications
