Knoxville Orthopaedic Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our PACU/Recovery Room team. This position provides recovery care for patients undergoing orthopaedic procedures in a fast-paced outpatient ambulatory surgery environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate post-anesthesia nursing care.
- Monitor patients throughout the recovery process.
- Assess patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Educate patients and families about postoperative care and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical team members to support positive patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow all facility policies, safety practices, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current RN license.
- ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; certification will be provided by KOSC.
- Previous PACU, recovery room, critical care, or ambulatory surgery experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to delivering excellent patient care.
