General Statement of Duties
The Clinic Liaison will help keep clinic flow running smoothly and waiting area volume appropriately managed by assisting clinic staff, patients, and providers. The position is responsible for greeting and escorting patients to various areas of the clinic, rooming patients, entering information into the EMR, and troubleshooting issues as they arise. The Clinic Liaison will work to create relationships with staff and patients. The Clinic Liaison will work closely with the Medical Assistants and Radiologic Technologists and assist them as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Maintains patient flow and volume within clinic x-ray areas.
- Escorts patients to various areas of the clinic including x-ray, cast room, and check out desk.
- Acts as a liaison between the patient, family, fellow employees, physicians, and physician support by creating relationships and maintaining communication.
- Ensures that patients are properly changed for x-rays.
- Assists staff with difficult or limited mobility patients.
- Communicates with x-ray techs, MA's and providers to enter, cancel, or delete x-ray orders as needed.
- Coordinates inpatient exams with hospital and clinic staff.
- Responsible for stocking and cleaning all clinic areas daily, including; radiology rooms, changing rooms, and any area patients may have access to. Restocks supplies and informs the designated person when products need ordered.
- Assists with answering phones, taking messages, or transferring patients to appropriate departments.
- Maintains daily error log documentation.
- Performs urine pregnancy test on patients as needed and fills out proper forms.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED General Studies required
- BLS certification preferred
- No prior experience necessary required; 1-2 years of experience preferred
