Duties
- Transcribe detailed clinical notes during patient encounters, capturing symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and physician observations with accuracy and speed
- Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to input, update, and manage patient information securely
- Assist healthcare providers by documenting medical histories, physical examinations, procedures, and follow-up instructions in real-time
- Maintain organized and complete medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies
- Support physicians by preparing documentation for billing, coding, and insurance purposes as needed
- Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness before finalizing records
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to ensure precise transcription of complex clinical information
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a medical office setting or as a medical scribe is highly preferred
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and familiarity with medical documentation processes
- Strong transcription skills with excellent typing speed and accuracy
