What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Technician position at Orthopedic Surgery Center of Green Bay?
The Sterile Processing Technicians are responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, sterilizing, assembling, packaging, tracking, storing, and distributing reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Center protocols. The Sterile Processing Technician will also provide reception duties as needed.
- This position is a 0.8 - 1.0 FTE (32-40 hours per week)
Education and Experience:
- Must be BLS Certified within six (6) months of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
- Prior experience in sterile processing or surgical technology is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in orthopedics or in an ASC is strongly preferred.
