- Provide hands-on treatment techniques, including trigger point therapy and therapeutic exercises.
- Support discharge planning by preparing patients for a smooth transition from therapy to home or other care settings.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment protocols and home exercise programs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes across various settings such as pediatrics, orthopedics, and outpatient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices, particularly in outpatient and skilled nursing facility settings.
- Proficiency in developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Experience with discharge planning processes to facilitate effective transitions for patients.
- Ability to perform trigger point therapy and other manual therapy techniques effectively.
