JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Front Desk Reception
Title: Front Desk Receptionist
Location: Paramus
Supervision Received: Reports to Team Lead
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Registering patients upon arrival
- Intake new patient information
- Enter insurance information
- Verify insurance
- Schedule patient appointments as appropriate at check out
- Collecting co-pays and patient balances
- Direct patients, as appropriate
- Works well under pressure
- Follow all written protocols and procedures of the practice
- Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families
- Team player is a key for this role
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members
- Experience Required in Medical Reception
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work as a team member within the patient services department and all other departments.
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Effectively cope with typical job stress.
- Document work processes as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Epic/Athena experience is a plus.
