JOB DESCRIPTION

Department:  Front Desk Reception

Title: Front Desk Receptionist

Location: Englewood Cliffs

Supervision Received: Reports to Team Lead

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Registering patients upon arrival
• Intake new patient information
• Enter insurance information
• Verify insurance
• Schedule patient appointments as appropriate at check out
• Collecting co-pays and patient balances
• Direct patients, as appropriate
• Works well under pressure
• Follow all written protocols and procedures of the practice
• Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families
• Team player is a key for this role
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members
• Experience Required in Medical Reception

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as a team member within the patient services department and all other departments.
• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Effectively cope with typical job stress.
• Document work processes as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Epic/Athena experience is a plus.
