What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pre-Op/PACU Nurse Manager position at Orthopaedic Surgical Institute (OSI)?
Orthopaedic Surgical Institute is seeking an experienced Pre-Op/PACU Nurse Manager. The Pre-Op/PACU Nurse Manager will plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing care and personnel management for the unit, collaborate with Center management team to maintain and comply with accreditation and licensing standards. They will assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures. RN manager will work closely with surgeons and anesthesia to foster a safe environment and surgical process for all patients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent decision-making skills, excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to supervise others. Ability to perform under a variety of fast-faced and stressful situations. Experience in an ambulatory surgery center environment with understanding of quality improvement and infection control processes is preferred.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree (BSN) or equivalent
· Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse license
· Four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Current ACLS/BLS/PALS (must be obtained within 3-6 months of hire)
