Therapy Tech

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a dedicated and energetic Therapy Technician to join our therapy team at OrthoLA! As a Therapy Tech, you’ll assist our licensed physical and occupational therapists in providing quality care to patients, helping to ensure smooth clinic operations and a positive patient experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provides assistance to patients in the completion of intake forms.
• Enters patient information into computer software.
• Cleans and prepares the clinic treatment area and equipment.
• Assists therapists in various patient care activities such as dressing changes and suture removal after surgery, setting up patients on various modalities, guiding patients through exercise program implemented by the treating therapist.
• Assists in monitoring the inventory of various clinic supplies.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment throughout the therapy gym.
• Follows the policies, procedures, and protocols of the clinic.
• Follow all HIPPA and patient confidentially practices.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A team player with a caring, professional demeanor.
• Dependable & able to maintain a positive attitude in a fastpaced environment.
• Organized & able to multitask to facilitate efficient workflow.
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology & general medical practice operations preferred.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a rehab, fitness, or healthcare setting is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk/stand for majority of work day
• Squatting, bending, reaching
• Lifting up to 15 lbs.

This is an in-person position in Thibodaux, LA. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Schedule consists of daytime shifts Monday-Friday.
