General Summary of the Job:
This position is responsible for taking radiological images and pushing the images through the system.
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for operating the medical equipment used to capture x-ray images.
- Positioning the patient and the equipment in a way that protects patient and employee safety.
- Detailed knowledge of x-ray procedures and the ability to explain the procedures to patients.
- Must follow regulations for protecting patients, coworkers and themselves from unnecessary exposure to radiation from the equipment and environment.

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Limited x-ray license (minimum)
- Skull imaging license preferred.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Experience in an Orthopedic Practice preferred.

- Understanding of EPM/EHR system.

Standard office equipment including computers, iPad, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving, mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There is a combination of office and clinical settings.
Mental/Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder level and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb; or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires working under stressful conditions. Some travel to satellite offices and meetings is required.
