General Summary of the Job:
This position is responsible for performing secretarial duties while utilizing a variety of medical skills, specific medical terminology and requires working under the direct supervision of a Physician. May require travel to Irvine and Newport Beach locations. This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position.
Essential Job Functions:
- Schedule patient appointments
- Verify insurance prior to patient visit.
- Enter patient demographics
- Collect co-pays/patient balances
- Obtain authorization for visits (HMO,WC)
- Answer phones
- Sort and distribute mail and/or faxes
- Medical records
