OrthoNC is seeking a self-motivated and reliable Radiologic Technologist to join our fast-paced, patient-centered orthopaedic clinic in Wakefield. The ideal candidate is adaptable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional care—while also thriving in both independent and collaborative settings. Willingness to cross-train for MA and Front Desk for help with after-hours coverage is a must.
What You’ll Do
- Perform diagnostic radiologic exams as ordered by physicians, ensuring proper patient positioning and image quality
- Prepare and operate radiologic equipment, following manufacturer and safety guidelines
- Minimize radiation exposure by using appropriate shielding and protection techniques
- Ensure patient comfort and cooperation by explaining procedures and answering questions
- Maintain radiologic equipment through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and reporting service needs
- Adhere to infection control protocols and clinic safety procedures
- Assist with contrast media reactions, emergency care, and use of emergency equipment when necessary
- Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and radiology areas in compliance with standards and regulations
- Document imaging services and patient interactions in EMR systems
- Collaborate with team members across departments to support efficient patient flow
- Cross-train and assist with medical assistant, front desk, or C-arm responsibilities as needed
What We’re Looking For
- ARRT certification required
- Proficient C-Arm Skills
- Experience in orthopaedic or outpatient imaging preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting
- Professional, patient-focused demeanor with strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and support multiple roles within the clinic
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to imaging accuracy and safety
