OrthoNC is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This hybrid position offers a combination of in-office and remote work while supporting a wide range of HR functions that help drive an exceptional employee experience. What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the Human Resources team to support day-to-day HR operations across benefits, compliance, talent management, and other HR initiatives
- Assist with maintaining the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and employee benefit administration portals
- Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, retirement plans, 401(k), and supplemental benefits
- Respond to employee questions regarding benefits and HR-related programs while providing excellent customer service
- Work collaboratively with benefit brokers, insurance carriers, payroll, and leadership to resolve employee benefit issues
- Ensure employment and benefits information is accurately reflected in payroll
- Perform regular audits of benefit enrollments, payroll deductions, invoices, and related records to ensure accuracy
- Assist with annual benefits renewal activities and coordinate the open enrollment process
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR documentation
- Protect the confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information
- Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture within Human Resources and across departments
- Support special projects and perform additional HR-related duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Education & Experience
- Previous Human Resources experience preferred
- Experience with employee benefits administration, HRIS systems, and payroll coordination preferred
