Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant orNurse Practitioner to join an Orthopedic physician. The ideal candidate willwork collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals toprovide high-quality patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.This role requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellentcommunication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-pacedenvironment.
New graduates and those withoutorthopedic experience are welcome to apply. The physician will providespecialty specific training. Orthopedic experience is also welcomed.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
- Order and interpret medical imaging and laboratory tests.
- Perform procedures such as injections and assist in surgery
- Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in a teaching hospital environment to enhance patient care.
- Assist in the development of treatment plans and follow-up care protocols.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in hospital medicine practices for both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Familiarity with medical coding for accurate documentation and billing processes.
- Ability to perform medical imaging interpretation effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Capability to teach and mentor junior staff or students within a teaching hospital setting.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate patient records.
