The Clinical AI Technicians support orthopedic providers during patient encounters by facilitating efficient clinic flow, initiating AI-assisted documentation tools, and coordinating real-time communication with clinical staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare the electronic health record (EHR) prior to each patient encounter by opening the correct patient chart, displaying the most recent progress note, and confirming the visit type.
· Initiate and manage AI documentation software at the beginning and end of each patient encounter.
· Generate the appropriate note template based on visit type and ensure AI-generated documentation is inserted into the correct patient encounter.
· Review AI-generated documentation for obvious non-clinical errors such as incorrect laterality, procedure site, or unrelated content.
· Remove clearly erroneous text and communicate documentation concerns to the provider as appropriate.
· Communicate provider requests to clinical staff in real time, including imaging, prescriptions, physical therapy, and durable medical equipment needs.
· Enter follow-up orders or scheduling requests as directed by the provider.
· Ensure encounter wrap-up tasks are initiated and communicated to the appropriate staff.
Orthopaedic Associates is a fast-paced, 13-physician orthopaedic practice with four locations in Evansville and Newburgh, IN and Henderson, KY. This is a full-time or part-time position. We are closed on the six major holidays and if full time, employees are eligible for holiday pay and insurance after completing their first 60 days of employment.
