Responsibilities/Duties
What you’ll do:
- Extensive phone and computer use. Headsets provided upon request.
- Incoming phone calls triaging.
- Patient appointment scheduling.
- Patient registration through EMR/HER.
- Patient checkout includes follow up testing scheduling and authorizations.
- Processing of Radiology orders and obtaining authorization as requested by providers.
- Processing of medication orders and obtaining authorization as requested by providers.
- Review/entry of patient preferred pharmacy info.
- Provider/patient liaison.
- Review of incoming fax queue for pertinent patient items and processing as needed.
- Processing disability forms, work notes, medical notes etc. as requested by patients.
- Provider schedule management.
- Performs additional duties as requested by Management and/or Providers.
- Attends regular organizational meetings as requested.
Who you are:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree preferred.
- Ability to use computerized systems and experience with Electronic Medical Records systems.
- Must be able to use sound judgment consistently.
- Must possess strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Must be highly organized and comfortable providing excellent internal and external customer service.
