Materials Coordinator - Surgery

We are looking for a full-time Materials Specialist to join our Executive Woods Ambulatory Surgery Center!

The Materials Coordinator will work collaboratively as part of a care team to assure adequate surgery inventory is maintained in a cost effective manner. If you're detail-oriented, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a high-performing surgical team, we’d love to hear from you. Experience as a Sterile Processing Tech or Surgical Tech is a plus!

Schedules are Monday through Friday

Pay is based on years of experience

Responsibilities:

• Ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies;
• Maintaining adequate surgery inventory in a cost effective manner; 
• Assisting in establishing and maintaining uniformity and accuracy of patient charges;
• Tracking medical devices; 
• Coordinating all “return” items in a timely manner;
• Coordinating all “recall” items in a timely manner;
• Tracking and follow-up of all back orders;
• Managing supplies and equipment from acquisition to disposition;
• Building and picking case carts;
• Other responsibilities as needed/assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Sterile Processing Tech or Surgical Technician preferred;
• Knowledge of and experience with surgery inventory control;
• Ability push, pull and bend regularly as well as consistently lift and carry up to 50 pounds using appropriate processes, including proper safety and ergonomic procedures;
• Ability to trouble shoot equipment issues and in-service staff on new equipment;
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task in a fast paced environment;
• Ability to build positive relationships and effectively communicate with all members of the healthcare team including oral and written communication;
• Proficient with electronic software systems and Microsoft Office
