Job Summary: Job Opportunity: Temporary Part-Time Physician Assistant (Surgical First Assist) - 1-2 Days Per Week, Wednesday and Friday We are seeking a temporary part-time Physician Assistant to assist with shoulder and elbow surgeries as a Surgical First Assist for an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Shoulder and Elbow surgery and reconstruction. This role offers a work schedule of 1-2 days per week, on Wednesdays and most Fridays, for the duration of each surgical day. This is a temporary position for three months starting July 1, 2026, to fill the position of a permanent employee on leave. Key Responsibilities:

Education/Experience: Master's in physician assistant studies with licensure to practice in the state of Texas. Surgical experience preferred but not required. |

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. |

Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide on all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret insurance co-pays and deductibles. |

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. |

Computer Skills: Ability to navigate electronic medical records systems for routine patient documentation and orders. |

Certificates and Licenses: Master's in physician assistant studies with licensure to practice in the state of Texas. |

Work Environment: Position works in a climate-controlled office environment with little or no potential interference from elements or sound. |

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
