Nurse Practitioner - Dallas - Texas Orthopaedic Associates

Dr. Kevin Kruse is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our shoulder surgery practice and provide high-quality, patient-centered musculoskeletal care. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and a supportive team environment focused on excellent outcomes and patient experience.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, Reduced Schedule Fridays

Responsibilities

• Perform orthopedic patient evaluations, histories, and physical exams
• Develop and document treatment plans in collaboration with Dr. Kruse
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing (X-rays, MRIs, labs, etc.)
• Provide follow-up care and patient education
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative management
• Prescribe medications and coordinate patient care as appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
• Work closely with physician and clinical staff to ensure efficient clinical flow

Compensation

• $100,000 Starting Salary
• Bonus opportunities based participation in practice growth

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license (required)
• 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
• Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

Education/Experience:  High School Diploma, or general education degree (GED), and minimum one (1) year experience in an outpatient clinic setting.

Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:  Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide on all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret insurance co-pays and deductibles.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commons sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: Ability to type 45 WPM, basic proficiency in Microsoft Outlook/Office, and experience using or ability to learn and comprehend computer programs.

Certificates and Licenses:  Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)

Work Environment: Position works in a climate-controlled office environment with little or no potential interference from elements or sound.

Position typically works 8 hours per day, but the schedule may vary.  Time standing and time sitting will vary. Must have visual ability to view computer monitor.
